Stampin' Goodness
First off, I don't know how some bloggers make up the cool titles for the posts....that's why I usually just leave mine blank! LOL Love the idea, but can't ever think of anything clever! Maybe it's because I'm always about ready to fall asleep on the keyboard! Hmmm....
Back to the card:
The scan isn't very good...but you get the idea, right? I started out wanting to copy the card sample on pg. 23 of the Spring/Summer 2008 Catty. So I grabbed a Chocolate Chip base that I stashed in my "card base" drawer and there it sat for a little bit (this is me debating if I really want to copy this card or do something else with it) with nothing on it. Then I remembered the sketch from my Stampin' Up! Magazine (Stampin' Success) and without much thought I punch a 1 3/8" Square through the top center of my card. GASP! I did something permanent before I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do. All is good though, it turned out just fine! Okay I'll get back to the card again.
I used my Punches plus CB (Classy Brass) Template (pg. 187) to pierce the holes in the paper. Since I couldn't really just glue this to the inside of the card and have it be the focal image on the front and on the inside I had to put a More Mustard piece behind the flower. I stamped the flower in Not Quite Navy and onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, cut it out (which I love to do) and popped it up on the More Mustard Square. I then stamped the "sentiment" from the same set in Chocolate Chip just below the squared flower (didn't know what else to call it). Then tied some ribbon underneath the sentiment. And it's done....and I really like how it turned out.
So I went from wanting to copy the card on pg. 23 to have as a sample to actually just using the stamp set that has never been touched! Other than to cut it out of course. Hope you liked it! And thank you so much for stopping by!
