Stamp Club
That reminds me I need to think of something for this months challenge. Maybe I'll do another card sample (like we did last month) I got the most "response" out of that challenge. Hmm...I'll think of something...maybe I'll post a Poll on my side bar. Okay...thinking out loud. LOL!
I have one project done (well sorta....just waiting for my paper to show up so I can finish it) for next month, but I don't know what I'm going to really do for my technique. Hmm.... For those that are reading this, What techniques do you/your friends/customers seem to like the most? Thanks in advance!
Hopefully, I will have something to post (card wise) soon! I haven't done any stamping TODAY and I'm going through withdrawls already!
Take care and have a wonderful week (if I don't post sooner)!

Stamp Club Challenge

Supplies all Stampin' Up! Unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Carte Postale & Fundamental Phrases & Leaves a la Carte Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Purely Pomegranate, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
Ink: Purely Pomegranate and So Saffron
Accessories: Old Olive Polytwill (Occasions Mini), 3/16" Corner Rounder (for Scallop edge) and Stampin' Dimensionals.
This is the first one I did and I didn't like it too much, so I did my 2nd one:
Supplies: Stamps: Same as the first card
Paper: Same as the first card
Ink: Same as the first card
Accessories: Same as the first card
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig (yes I finally got one!) to line up the "CELEBRATE".
This next one is my favorite! I Love this stamp set!

Supplies: All Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Embrace Life
Paper: same as cards above
Ink: VersaMark, Old Olive and Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Stampin' Pastels (So Saffron), DS (double Stitched) Purely Pomegranate Ribbon (threads removed) and Crafters Tool Kit (Paper Piercing).
I used VersaMark to stamp the big flower on the Sahara Sand base. Then I stamped the "leaves" in Purely Pomegranate on Pomegranate for a tone on tone affect. I adhered the So Saffron to the Pomegranate and paper pierced it. Then I cut the ribbon to size and removed the thread and tied it around the cardstock. For the Focal image I stamped the "flower cluster" in old olive and colored in the petals with so saffron pastels and stamped the sentiment underneath it in Purely Pomegranate.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed these cards!

I made this card about a week ago. Playing with some new stamps I got. This is the Together Forever Stamp Set. I mainly bought this set for this flower! I LOVE this flower, I think it's the "shading" on it....I don't know! I just think it's really pretty and I still haven't scrapbooked my wedding pictures (4 years now) so I can use this set! Hehehe....But anyways...back to the card.
I started with Always Artichoke, one because it's my favorite color and two because I wanted to make a card out of some old 6x6 pieces I had laying around from a workshop I did. It's hard to see but I stamped/rolled the Forever Flowers Wheel on the background just about half way down. I grabbed some Rose Red from my scrap stash and stamped the circle images repeatedly on the cardstock in Rose Red ink. I then added some Regal Rose ribbon.
Next, I stamped the flower images in Basic Black and colored it in with my markers; Always Artichoke (for the leaf), Regal Rose, So Saffron (which you can't see because of the brads I added later) and Rose Red. After I was done coloring I matted it with So Saffron and adhered it to the card with dimensionals. I then stamped "Happy Mother's Day" (from All Holidays) at the bottom of the card in Chocolate Chip (it might be Basic Black, I can't remember for sure off the bat and don't have the card in front of me).
Supplies: All Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Stamps: Together Forever and All Holidays
Ink: chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Regal Rose and So Saffron
Paper: So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Rose Red and Very Vanilla
Accessories: Brads (Fresh Favorites), Regal Rose Wide Grosgrain
Thanks for stopping by! Will be posting more later....

Stamp Club Project (if you don't want to see it, don't look!) LOL
I don't know what it is, but when I need to get something done (say for my Stamp Club) I don't have any creativity in me! I sat in my stamping room for about an hour or two trying to figure out what I wanted to do. Not sure if I like the way this turned out, but it might just be the colors that are throwing me off (not used to working with bright colors)!

Card Recipe:
Stamps: All Recipes and Together forever
Paper: Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue
Inks: Old Olive
Accessories: Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain, Real Red Wide Grosgrain, Die-cut Blooms (Occasions Mini), Perfect Day Rub-ons and Slit Punch.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Tell me what you think about this card! I'll probably end up changing it or just redoing the whole thing over!

At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it! I wanted to use a color combo I had never used before. So I grabbed my "notebook" that I keep all the different color combos in. And picked out Taken with Teal, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, River Rock and Chocolate Chip. Can't remember where it came from, sorry!
Since I don't use Taken with Teal a lot I started with it as the base. Then I took some River Rock and cut it to 3 1/4" X 5 1/4" and stamped my Polka Dot Background in River Rock onto the River Rock cardstock. I did the same thing with a strip of River Rock cut to 3/8 x 5 1/4. I sponged the edges of both pieces with River Rock ink. I took some Very Vanilla and cut 3 of them to 1 3/8" X 2 5/16 and stamped the single flower from Embrace Life in Chocolate Chip and colored it in with my Real Red marker and adhered it to some Pumpkin Pie that was cut to 1 1/2" X 2 1/2 (3). I then adhered that to the River Rock CS and adhered that to the base. I stamped the "Dare to be Fabulous" sentiment from Fabulous Flowers in Taken with Teal onto Very Vanilla (3 X 1 1/4) and adhered that to a Chocolate Chip piece cut to 3 1/8" X 1 3/8" and adhered the sentiment overlapping the bottom of the flowers and the River Rock CS.
I hope you like it! I love this color combo and sketch! Going to have to try it again! Thanks for stopping by!
*Might help if I actually posted a picture of the card I made, huh?! LOL
February 21, 2008

I made this for my daughter that turned two yesterday! I waited till the last minute to make it ... sometimes I think my cards turn out better when I do that (only sometimes, not all the time). LOL!
I used my new SAB stamp set (which helped out a lot, because I don't have very many birthday sets) and some new ribbon.
For the color combo, I grabbed my Color Coach (SU! Color Wheel) again! I love that thing! I actually had planned on using Pretty in Pink for the base, but I guess I had forgot that by the time I got out all my colors because it turned into Mellow Moss (so if you're looking for this color combo turn your "pointer" to Pretty in Pink and it's all the Coordinating colors) LOL. Instead of starting with the base first, I actually started with the main image (focal image) this time. I stamped the cake in Perfect Plum onto Very Vanilla and matted it with Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum. Then I stamped my polka dot background in Mellow Moss and covered the whole card front. I tied some Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon around a So Saffron piece of CS and adhered it to the card. I then added my focal image with dimensionals and stamped the "happy birthday" in Perfect Plum. And there you have it...my daughters birthday card.
Supplies: All supplies from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Birthday Whimsy (SAB) and Polka Dot Background
Paper: Mellow Moss (5 1/2 x 4 1/4-finished size; 2 5/8 x 2 3/8), So Saffron (2" x 5 1/2"), Perfect Plum (2 3/4 x 2 1/2) and Very Vanilla (2 1/2 x 2 1/4).
Ink: Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum
Accessories: Dimensionals and Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon
